To The Suwalki Blues Festival Organizers,
July 15, 2010
I sincerely regret that I am unable to honour my contractual obligation to perform on July 17th, 2010 at the Suwalki Blues Festival. After numerous attempts to secure confirmation of return flights & salaries from the agent who contracted us for the festival we were informed that no flights were booked. The only alternative that was offered to us on Monday July 12th, 2010 involved no less than 20 hours of travel including a 7 hour drive to Montreal and 4 overseas flights. Upon receipt of this proposed solution my band refused to accept the breach of agreement and in fear of working without any guarantee of payment and no confirmed return flights, they declined. Without a band I am unable to perform no matter how much I desire to do so.
My deepest apologies for the incredible inconvenience it has unquestionably caused.

"Some things certainly are worth waiting for and the new release by Alannah Myles - Black Velvet, is one of them. A tour de force of songwriting, production and performance. I can see the Rockies in my new backyard. I now have a soundtrack to match the view."
